No, we aren't talking about the recent General Election but an election of another kind...the InStyle's Fan Favourite bag which is part of the 4th Annual Independent Handbag Designer Awards where you might have read previously we have been nominated for one of our designs, for the SECOND YEAR RUNNING! What's more, we are the only Brit brand to make it to the final in this category...flying the flag...

So, you can imagine, how explosive our excitement was to see our HITCHCOCK bag adorning the cover of In Style's article on the awards (see above). We will find out on June 16th whether we have been lucky enough to win this award or the main award for the Best Handbag in Overall Style & Design. The prize this year is incredible - to design a capsule collection for Saks Fifth Avenue, design a one-off bag for Kate Spade and take a stand at Las Vegas' Magic tradeshow. Fingers crossed!

Finalists: Independent Handbag Designer Awards, New York

Bag shown - Hitchcock in Carmin - nominated as Best Handbag in Overall Style & Design - 2010 Independent Handbag Designer Awards, NYC

We are super-excited to announce that one of our bags has made it to the finals of the New York's Independent Handbag Designer Awards - for the category, 'Best Handbag in Overall Style and Design' - for the SECOND year running!

The bag nominated - from over 800 entrants - is from our forthcoming Autumn/Winter 2010 season. The 'HITCHCOCK' bag in carmin colour lizard stamped leather will retail at £175 and be available for purchase from the end of July. (You can reserve yours by emailing us on info@cheetlondon.com) The panel of judges includes buyers from Saks Fifth Avenue, Kate Spade, Carlos Falchi and other industry experts.

How fabulous it was to see our new season of bags gracing the floors of some of the world's iconic department stores on our latest trip to Paris for Fashion Week.
